A Note From The Founder
I created Star Child Behavioral Health, LLC from the lived reality of growing up in foster care and the professional lens of an Industrial‑Organizational psychology practitioner. My experiences as a foster youth taught me how deeply systems, environments, and relationships shape a person’s development — and how often traditional behavioral supports fail to account for trauma, identity, and emotional safety.
My background in I/O psychology showed me the other side: how organizations function, how people learn, how teams respond to stress, and how systems can either empower or harm the individuals within them. Star Child Behavioral Health exists at the intersection of those two truths.
This program is driven by a commitment to trauma‑informed care that is both compassionate and structurally sound. I built Star Child to offer services that honor lived experience, elevate emotional safety, and meet professional, state, and accreditation standards. Every training, every service, and every partnership reflects my belief that healing and growth happen when human experience and organizational practice work together, not against each other.
